Tutbury Market returned to the village on 26th April 2015, after a lapse of 400 years, to help bring the footfall back and to also help the businesses involved. The event that is held three times a year has grown from strength to strength and attracts thousands of visitors to the village of Tutbury.

The market came to an abrupt halt when the UK was hit by the pandemic, and during its hiatus, the committee was hard hit with the sudden passing of key members of the organising group.

Thankfully, new members were able to come on board, and with a huge effort, the market returned to Tutbury once more in July 2023.
It has since grown and become more popular at every market, and we pride ourselves on being a market which is run by the local residents and strive to do our best for customers and stall holders alike.  
It was paused briefly whilst Ian, Mellissa, Jane, Dave and Heather stepped down early 2025, but has since been taken over by a new committee led by Matt and Lydia, and will continue to thrive
